AMS meeting and video lectures on SAGE and elliptic curves

Posted by Andreas Holmstrom on November 11, 2011

Trying to move (temporarily) from the abstract world of stable motivic homotopy theory, I have signed up for the SAGE course at the upcoming AMS meeting in Boston. As preparation for this, I found some video lectures from MSRI (thanks to the rss feed), giving an introduction to computing with elliptic curves in SAGE.

Among many other things, the AMS meeting also offers a healthy dose of homotopy theory, some lectures of Harpaz and/or Schlank on their remarkable paper on etale homotopy theory and rational points on varieties, and a special session with the amazing title Generalized Cohomology Theories in Engineering Practice. Maybe there will also be a MathOverflow meetup?
